'BENT FOLKS WHO RIDE
The Low Down & Laid Back Recumbent Riders are a laid back group of folks who get together once a week to hang out, ride and talk about recumbent bicycles. The rides are social with average speeds range from 10-18 mph. The NWLDLBRR is a non-club with no dues, organization, mailing address, bank account etc. The rides are very loosely sponsored by NWLDLBRR non-members who volunteer to show up for a given ride.
IMPORTANT: Riders must be take responsibility for their own safety. This are casual, no-host rides-ride at your own risk. You should be prepared to handle your own sag, repairs, etc. Anybody or any kind of bikes are welcome.
RIDE LEADERS: You need to plan your ride 4-6 weeks in advance, plan the route, a place to eat and show up rain or shine.
WEATHER: We ride year round. Somebody shows up to every ride no matter how wet it may be. Prepare your bike for rain and get a rain coat. If you are a weather weenie, you'll be sitting at home a lot. If its pouring rain take a chance and show up as somebody will show up. Snow or roads to icy to ride on means we hit the local coffee shop...and we know them all.
TIMES LISTED ARE FOR DEPARTURE: Arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the time listed to chat, get set up, etc. Late arrivals slow the whole group. Please be courteous and arrive early.
